Sequoyah Country Club

We could not have chosen a better venue than Sequoyah Country Club. After visiting many other properties, we fell in love with Sequoyah the second we entered the grounds. We were fortunate to have decent weather, allowing us to use the outdoor space overlooking the course for our ceremony and giving our guests glimpses of the bay. The size and layout of the facilities, as well as the sense of history from the architecture and décor lent to the perfect setting for our reception. We loved the towering redwood trees and massive oaks, which were featured in many of our wedding photos. We couldn’t have asked for a better staff at the event. The service was very smooth and professional, and our guests’ needs were quickly accommodated. The food was delicious, and the serving sizes were very generous. We were pleasantly surprised with the alcohol options that were made available to us for our service, as were our guests. But most importantly, our experience with management from our first visit until the final second of our night was fantastic. Andrea and Sally were a joy to work with, and their years of experience showed in both the preparation for our event and their work the day-of. We would absolutely recommend Sequoyah to anyone who is planning a wedding, or any type of special event.

Nice to be part of this club. I come here to play golf with my buddies and sometimes with their wifey's also sssshhhh.... we gotta keep it on the down low. Love every holes, not too bushy but sometimes you can't have it all you know?.. some holes are deep and some seems shallow. I like it deep but then again we can't always have it our way. The staff are cool and very helpful. Thanks guys!

*WEDDING REVIEW* Andrea, Sally and the Sequoyah team are incredible. From start to finish, they were supportive, accommodating, professional, and everything was of the highest quality. During the planning process, I don't know how many emails, calls and texts I sent their way and every time they got back to me quickly and provided me all information, help and suggestions I asked for. The food was fantastic. Our tasting was exceptional and I went into our wedding confident that our guests would be served delicious quality food, and boy did they deliver. On the day itself, my coordinator was a disaster, and there were a few moments where I thought I might lose it. But their team stepped up and several of the staff members went out of their way to correct the mistakes and ensure my vision became a reality. I can't say enough wonderful things about the team. Stunning, classic venue with gorgeous photo spots and a powerhouse team. Worth every penny.

I reviewed last year with stellar comments. However, this time around is a disappointment: setting is still nice; stairs need to be replaced with ramps for visitors that more likely older, for safety and common sense reasons. The reason for much lower review: while the wait staff was proper, (robotic, not friendly whatsoever) the policy to refuse leftover food takeout is rude and unacceptable! What in the world is the kitchen going to do with the leftovers? Certainly no one else will eat it; and to toss is a terrible waste! Senseless and poor dining policy. I will definitely NOT RECOMMEND this venue for events.
